Have you been feeling overwhelmed by your emotions or stuck in patterns you cannot seem to change? If so, you are not alone. Many people want to feel more grounded these days but are unsure where to begin. As a Psychological Associate foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I am here to help.
As a Vietnamese American mother of three, guided by Buddhist philosophy, I respect how culture, family, trauma, and identity shape our emotional lives. This outlook has naturally led to therapeutic work grounded in the DBT principles of acceptance and change. Together, we focus on building practical skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness to reach your long-term goals.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Anaheim and am currently completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Psychology. I am foundationally trained in DBT through the Behavioral Tech Institute and have experience providing DBT individual therapy and facilitating DBT skills groups in higher levels of care. Before this, I was a Diagnostic Clinician in a university disability center, where I conducted psychological evaluations for students with concerns related to ADHD, learning differences, autism spectrum disorder, personality functioning, and mood or anxiety disorders. Throughout my training, I have been able to support first-generation immigrants, LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, those managing chronic conditions, trauma, self-harm, gender identity, and suicidal thoughts.
In my spare time...
Outside of my work with clients, I love boxing, singing, relaxing at the beach, and exploring new restaurants with my family.
